Weaving Products

At DSSCWA, the special children and adults spend most of their time working on the weaving looms in our workshop. We have several weaving products including doormats (small and large), kitchen towels and mopping cloths. The yarn for weaving is made of cloth from old cotton saris.

Pile Carpets

Along with weaving, our children also work on pile carpets and make them completely by hand, recycling old cloth.

Bags and Pouches

The special children and adults also make bags and pouches of various shapes, designs and sizes, which can be used for many different purposes.

  • Fancy handbags.
  • Jute material cell phone pouch, coin purse and small lunch bag.
Food-Related Products

At the workshop, we make arecanut plates, juice bottles and fresh fruit-juice essence.

  • Bio-degradable arecanut plates in varying sizes.
  • Fresh fruit juice essence – pineapple, grape, lemon ginger and lemon.
Fancy Items

The children and adults also work on various fancy items like diyas and gift envelopes.

  • Diyas or lamps.
  • Diyas painted in gold with red spots.
  • Gift envelopes with a one rupee coin attached to the cover – ideal for gifting cash during occasions.
